Investment on cakes:
The minimum base price for custom cakes is SG$350 for a single tier size and this goes up based on the final design and size required. Due to the nature of how these cakes are made, pricing does not go by weight. A 2-tier cake starts from $600 and 3 tiers are from $1200. Most clients invest about $650 -900 for 2 tiers and $1200-2000 for 3 tiers. Please check out the cake size guide for reference. What about cupcakes? Cupcakes start at SG$5 each and go up based on the design of the toppers. Minimum order is 12 (one flavour). Cupcakes are finished with either a delicious swirl of Italian meringue buttercream or chocolate ganache depending on the design of the toppers. Are you Halal certified? No. How do I confirm my slot? Your order date is only guaranteed after a non-refundable deposit is made. However, if another deposit is made before yours (even while we're discussing your enquiry) and I have already reached capacity, I will return your deposit. The balance of the payment should be made before or upon collection. How early should I confirm my order? I only take in 1-3 orders a week, so its ideal to enquire and confirm your slot 3-4 weeks before the date of your order. Rush orders (1-3 days notice) will be accepted only if there is availability. However, there will be an extra charge at 30% of the total cost. Do you accept orders during public holidays? Yes, I can take in orders during public holidays, unless stated otherwise (usually if I'm on a break!). However, there is an extra charge if your order falls on the eve, day of, and day after a public holiday at 30% of the total cost or SG$50, whichever is more. Do you deliver? Yes, delivery is available at SG$25-45 depending on the day, time and location. Orders above $1000 have free delivery. Delivery is not available to Jurong Island or Army bases. Sentosa is SG$45. Self-collection is at the River Valley/Killeney road area. Jumi Cakes is NOT responsible for any damages or accidents once the cake is collected. |
What flavours are offered?
Jumi Cakes & Designs aims to focus on quality rather than quantity, so signature flavours are chocolate and vanilla cakes that are always made from scratch, moist and delicious. Here's what else is available: Cake flavours: Chocolate cake Vanilla cake Maroon Velvet cake (Red Velvet but with less food coloring) Lemon zest cake Fillings: Dark Chocolate Ganache (BFFs with chocolate cake!) Vanilla Bean Buttercream Zesty Lemon Buttercream Strawberry Jam Hazelnut Buttercream or Ganache Lemon Curd Jam Cookies and Cream Buttercream Biscoff Crunch Buttercream Salted Caramel Drizzle and Buttercream All fondant decorated cakes are frosted with a delicious layer of chocolate ganache. I love working with buttercream too but this will depend on the design so simply let me know and I will advise what is best. Do you only work with fondant? I mainly work with a fondant finish. However, I also work with a chocolate ganache or buttercream finish. Of course, the design you want will also affect the fondant vs. buttercream choice but in general, I are happy to work with a no-fondant finished cake (decorations will be in fondant though). I will let you know if your design is not suitable for a certain finish. Are your cakes sweet? What if I don't like fondant? Let's cut to the chase. Yes, the cakes are sweet because they have sugar in them :) But I believe the sweetness is just right. If you prefer a "less sweet" option, then the chocolate ganache (no extra sugar) or something savoury like lemon or dark chocolate filling is ideal. Fondant tastes like marshmallows and creates a certain type of finish that is smooth and clean, but if you're not keen on it, simply peel it off. What if I have a nut allergy? I do not use ingredients that contain nuts (unless you request for a peanut butter filling). However, I cannot guarantee that the ingredients have not come into contact with nuts during its manufacturing process. |
